Budding young chefs can cook up a storm with Cookingmania – Scotland’s only cookery school for kids. During the masterclass the young chefs and their families will learn how to create festive treats that they can easily recreate at home during the Christmas period.

Champagne and canapés

Learn how to make stylish canapés to impress your party guests with top chef Patrick Bardoulet of the Horseshoe Inn, who will be joined by Lance Sharpus-Jones of Inverarity Vaults. Lance will help you to select the right champagnes to complement your hors d’oeuvrves. Participants will be invited to taste the treats during the class and buy signed copies of Patrick’s new book.

Celebrate the Sex and the City cupcake phenomenon with expert baker Evelyn Hogarth. She will be demonstrating how to achieve her magical, tasty creations using an Alladin’s cave of decorations and trinkets, all on sale at her stand, including wafer roses, stars, hearts, sprinkles and lots of lovely glitter.

Meet oyster experts Hugo and Judith Vajk, who have been farming oysters for more than twenty years. After freshly shucking the oysters, Judith will offer some recipe ideas and advice, including a special one for Christmas.

Sensational sausages

Meet passionate farmer Pete Mitchell of Puddledub, who will teach participants about the variety of sausages and how they come up with the unusual unique flavours. Audience members are invited to take part in blind taste-test sampling a selection of their divine products.
